Featured in the book "Ghosts of Kansas", Ward Mead mansion is known for paranormal activity.  The mansion, as well as other buildings on the grounds, has been investigated by Nick Spantgos and the PRI Team.  Constructed in the 1870's, the mansion represents the pioneer history of Topeka and the Kansas frontier.
